Service keys and built-in role change
New Service keys feature
We've added a new type of API key for automated systems.
Unlike personal keys, a service key isn't tied to the person who created it. It carries its own permissions and keeps working even if you leave the team or your access changes. Add one from the Developer tools window.
Deprecated Manager role
The built-in Manager role has been deprecated, and is only shown if it's already assigned to at least one existing team member.
This change doesn't affect any custom roles that have been created from the built-in Manager template, and nobody assigned this role will experience any change in functionality.
The Manager role originally sat between Developer and Administrator. It had lower privileges on project resources, but could grant its absent permissions to others. The built-in roles that remain have a cleaner hierarchy with no overlaps.
If you need restricted resource permissions with team management privileges, you can create your own custom role.
